Suggested exercises to develop the performance skills of "syncope" of the student /teacher derived from the music of (Super Mario) game The accompanying music of any musical work, form the best perception in the listener, because of its great impact, and it also gives the listener a sense that he is the same person who lives the events. The music of video games is a type of accompanying music, which any music clips or accompanying music background present in the game, based on the repetition of melodies characterized by simplicity and clarity, and it is an important element in playing in certain types of games, which is interactive music that changes quickly to give Sense of the appropriate ambiance for Stages of the game. The Japanese composer Koji Kondo (August 13, 1961) is one of the most famous composers of video game music, where he composed and put sound effects to Super Mario game in 1985. The main theme at melody of that game is based on the technique of syncopation, which may represent difficulty in its performance for the pianist, so the researcher analyzed the main idea of the game's music and identified the types of syncopes to benefit from them in derived exercises that may help the player to perform the syncope in a Simplified way. The study aimed to identify the accompanying music and its importance in video games and to identify the different forms of syncope through the music of Super Mario game, and suggestion some exercises derived from the melody of the game's music. The Results provided answers to research questions, and then the researcher concluded the research by recommendations, proposals, references and a summary of the research.
A suggested method of performing Longa Riad Al- Sunbati on the piano ABSTRACT Arabic music is characterized by a variety of musical forms, includingthe Longa form, which is a light type of the forms of mechanical composition, which is graceful and attractive in its melodic composition. It is characterized by sudden transition, melodic jumps and speed in performance. One of its characteristics is that, it highlights the skill of the player and his ability to perform and enables him to control his musical instrument. Riad Al-Sunbati is one of the most prominent Arab musicians. He is unique in composing the Qasidah, and has many variety works. Longa Riad is his only experience in this form. Longa Riad is characterized in this suggested method with various techniques that may contribute to acquire the pianist many skills in playing the piano through an original oriental melody, so the researcher set Longa Riad for the piano in proportion to the techniques of the skill and expression. The study aimed to know the form of Longa and Riad Al-Sunbati and setting Longa Riad with the preparation it to be performed on the piano in proportion to the abilities of the piano in performing expressive and playing skills in order to help the player by using those skills to perform an oriental form on the piano . The researcher presented research results and its explanations by answering the research questions. Finally, recommendations, Arabic and foreign references and abstract were presented.
Benefiting from the method of dealing with some of Wajdi Abu Diab's compositions prepared for the piano instrument for the beginner student Introduction Arts in its all forms such as music, singing, theatre, photography and others at their different levels and diversity of origins play an important role in the rapprochement of peoples even during wars, so they were the focus of attention to be an aim of moving away from racism, extremism and colonialism. Many Arab musicians have appeared who relied on the national character in their compositions, one of them, the Lebanese composer Wajdi Abu Diab. The researcher through reading his own works for the piano noticed that he depended in these works on samples of Arabic melodies and made for these works new musical distribution for the piano such as “Zorowny kul sana marah " ( Visit me once a year ), "Teleat ya mahala nourha ( What a lovely light when appears )" , " Alhelwa De " ( That beautiful! ) ,"Albent Al Shalabiya " (the pretty girl), “Lama Bada yatathana” ( When she was swaying ), " Fouk Alnakhl "(above the palm trees”, “Aman Aman”, " Zarney al mahboub" (the beloved visited me), “Medley Om Kulthum” The researcher chose In the applied framework (Alhelwa De - Albent Al Shalabiya) because they covers various playing techniques, and the researcher observed that they may enrich the piano curricula because it expressed the Arab musical character, so we should be interested in studying those compositions which were not previously analyzed. The research includes Introduction - Research problem - Research objectives - Importance of Research - Research questions - Research Approach - research Limits - Research Sample - Research Tools - Research Terms. Research steps include: The theoretical aspect includes: First: Wajdi Abu Diab (his life - his education - the most important courses and workshops he participated in - the awards and grants he received - and his most important works that he composed and distributed). The applied aspect includes: Extracting the identification card for the work - the tonal analysis of melodies and phrases - the analysis of the research sample, which is (Alhelwa De - Albent Al Shalabiya)- the most important features of Wajdi Abou Diab's style in dealing with Arabic melodies on the piano.
Taking advantage of the variations of Franz Liszt and Jean Chrisostome Hess to create a variation on the melody of Beethoven's Ninth Symphony. Introduction Strumming Variations are regarded as one of the fundamental and significant musical forms that have thrived since the Renaissance to the present day, due to the essential technical and expressive elements they encompass, which have a profound impact on any student in helping them connect the musical materials they study, such as harmony, counterpoint, and musical improvisation. This form is one of the models of instrumental composition, and the melody upon which the variations are based is referred to as the theme, and its idea is derived either from a folk song or a well-known melody, as in the study sample (Le Carnaval des Venise), where both (F. Liszt) and (J. Ch. Hess) created variations on the same theme. The researcher believes that the instrumental analysis of these variations from the perspectives of different composers can enrich the researcher with various techniques for writing variations, which is what the researcher accomplished in the practical aspect by innovating a set of variations on the theme (Ode to Joy) by Beethoven. The research includes: the introduction - the research problem - research objectives - research significance - research questions - research methodology - research limitations - study sample - research tools - research terminology - key previous studies related to the research topic. The steps of the research include: First, the theoretical aspect, which contains: First, a brief overview of the variations form (definition - types), composer Franz Liszt and composer Jean Hess. Second, the practical aspect which includes: - The first axis: the instrumental analysis of the variations (Le Carnaval des Venise) by both (F. Liszt) and (J. Ch. Hess). - The second axis: identifying the instrumental techniques of both variations. - The third axis: Innovating variations on (Ode to Joy) by Beethoven with instrumental analysis .
The Effectiveness of the Modeling Strategy in Improving the Performance of some Playing Piano Techniques among Students of Musical Education. Dr. Sarah Abd- AlSami Mohammad. Dr. Islam Hassan Abdel-Khalek Abstract : The current study aimed at examining the effectiveness of a modeling strategy in improving the performance of some playing piano techniques among students of musical education. The study adopted the experimental design and included 30 musical education freshmen at the Faculry of Specific Education, Zagazig University. Participants were divided into two groups: a control group and an experimental one, with 30 students in each group. Whereas the experimental group were taught using the modeling strategy, the control group received regular instruction. Results indicated that: (1) there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group and the control one in the post-performance observation card in favor of the experimental group’s results. (2) there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group’ pre- and post- performance observation cards in favor of the post-performance observation card’s results. (3) there were statistically significant differences between the mean scores of the experimental group’ pre- and traceable tests. Finally, recommendations were made in the light of the study’s results. Key words: modeling strategy, playing piano techniques, students of musical education.
The use of playing techniques in the piano Etude Op 92 for the left hand by Moritz Moszkowski Introduction The Romantic Movement appeared from 1780 to 1840 in the field of literature, arts and philosophy. It began in music in the early of the 19th century until the early of 20th century, and adopted romanticism to return to nature and interested in self-expression of the author's imagination and his feelings. Music al instruments had been devolved in this era especially the piano that opened up new horizons for the composers for creativity in compositions for both the expressive and tactical aspects, too. The right hand in the piano compositions usually has the basic role as it is more flexible than the left hand. However, in the romantic era, the piano compositions designed specifically for the left hand to overcome the weakness of any one of them or to show the cleverness of playing with one hand. Many authors have tended to create works for the left-hand like Maurice Ravel's left-hand concerto, Carl Czerny (1791-1857, the left-hand book which contains ten Etude. The German musician,(1875-1937) Moritz Moszkowski (1854-1925) who composed twelve Etude for left hand Op 92 in 1915 (research sample) which the researcher carried out an analysis of the techniques of playing that presented in twelve Etude and selected three Etude containing multiple techniques and did the playing analysis for them. The research includes introduction - Research problem - Research objectives - importance of Research - Research questions Research Approach - research Limits - Research Sample - Research Tools - Research Terms Research steps include: The Theoretical Framework includes: First: Moritz Moszkowski (his life - his style of authorship and his most important works) Second: a profile of the template of the study and the most important study written for the left hand. The Applied Framework includes: First: A comprehensive analysis of all the playing skills in the piano Etude Op 92 by Moszkowski and determine the intended skill of each study. Second: The playing analysis of Etude No. 3, 4.7 Op 92 with overcoming the difficulties in them.
